All coaches in the club’s SAP and NPL Youth Programs attended a technical and tactical education session at Edden Oval on Saturday, 20th June. Head of Football, Richard Hartley, stated that it was the first of a series of in house coach education activities organised to ensure a common coaching and playing philosophy throughout the club from u9s to First Grade.
The coaches observed our senior players being put through drills and a tactical session by Head Coach, Jim Pascoe with assistance from Shane Pryce. Jim was able to demonstrate to the coaches the link from skill drills to tactical outcomes. He also clarified important aspects with a Q & A at the end of the session.
Importantly, all our coaches have embraced the “the Jaffas Way” – a philosophy grounded in positive, possession based attacking football.
